![]() And down a dark hall is a bunch of people looking at… the dead you. This looks so good I almost thought it was an FMV game at first, but alas, it is not. The Alters sends us to the deepest, darkest place in space and promises an existential crisis (uh-oh). This is a new game by 11 bit studios (this one is developed by the studio). So let’s follow the robot! An antimatter machine awakens, and blasts the robot. There’s a robot that started a task but has gotten looped into it, so it’s just going in circles. ![]() But what has Yasna stumbled upon, exactly? She turns on the recorder and sees what happened to the deceased team: they got through a wall with a beam of antimatter. But wait… someone’s here… oh, it’s a dead someone. Our protagonist, Yasna, locates an anti-matter canon, which is unfortunately dead. A vehicle comes up on a convoy’s area, which has a raising radiation level. It is developer by Starward Games and published by 11 bit studios, and this is the first look at its gameplay. The Invincible is based on a novel of the same name. Soulstice will be released on September 20. There’s a diverse, combo-based combat system with an array of weapons and customisation options. ![]() As they fight to get ahead, the surroundings become twisted and hostile. ![]() They are the only ones who can take on the Wraiths, vile creatures who are pouring into the world from the other side of the Veil. Briar and Lute are sisters, reborn as a Chimera. The goal in Soulstice is to uncover the dark truth of the Chimera, a hybrid warrior born of two souls. I think it may be the colours that really stand out to me, which does sound like me. It’s a lot of the same thing, over and over (generally, shooty-shooty). There are very few games of interest, making the highlights stand out that much more. I’m not going to lie, I was extremely disappointed with this showcase. Everything you see here will be coming to PC, if anything else is mentioned I will make note. ![]() One thing I know for certain is that we’ll be seeing a brand new title from 11 bit studios, the developer/publisher that is perhaps best known for This War of Mine. It’s shown Sam Barlow titles in the past so I’m really hoping to see more Immortality, even if we did see a good amount of it during the Tribeca Games Spotlight.
